FamFave Digital Thermometer w/Jumbo Lighted LCD Display

Good evening everyone,

Tonight I would like to review "FamFave" Digital Thermometer w/Jumbo Lighted LCD Display.

  • FAST results - average 10 to 25 seconds - proven accurate in extensive tests - beeps when done
  • LARGE lighted LCD Display - visible in dark room
  • FLEXIBLE Tip - Safe and painless for babies and all ages
  • WATERPROOF - Automatic turn off - battery included - memory display of latest reading.

This thermometer is very simple and easy to use. It comes with a battery, so all you need to do is turn it on and it's ready to take a reading. The LCD display is super easy to see, and it has a great backlighting!  Here are a couple of FAQs just in case:

#1 FAQ - What does "L" mean? Is the battery low?

The battery is OK. "L" means low temperature. It is normal because room temperature is usually below 89.6 F, the minimum measurable. So "L" means it is ready to use.

When you turn on the thermometer, you'll see 188.8, E, battery symbol, and M. Then the last temp taken (or 105.8 F the first time), then "L" after the screen darkens. Just take your temperature when you see the "L". When it beeps, the reading is done. When the beeping stops the screen will brighten and the temperature will be displayed.

#2 FAQ - Why do I see the battery symbol when I turn it on?

It's just a test. During the power-on display (about 3 seconds) you will see 188.8, E, battery symbol, and M. Then the last temp taken (or 105.8 F the first time), then "L" after the screen darkens.
That a test of all the parts of possible display characters in those positions. It does not mean the battery is low. If the battery is low, the symbol will appear and stay on continually until you push the power button.
