Good Evening Everyone,
Today I have a review for 800+ WoW TCG cards from Golden Groundhog. The cards can be found by visiting this link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CIT7530 #GoldenGroundhogWOWLot
I was excited to get these cards, as I am an avid collector
of WoW memorabilia (including these cards). The promotion stated that I would
received 800+ cards plus a deck box. In all, I received a total of 859 cards,
the mini card case, and the deck box. I
received 478 cards from the "Illidan" set and 381 cards from the
"Drums" set. In the promotion
ad on Amazon, it states "includes rares & foils". I did not
receive any rares or foils. All of the cards were green labeled, meaning that
they are of common value. Rares are blue, epics are purple, and legendary
(foils) are orange in distinction. I am not sure if the reason why there were
no rares or foils included was because I received this product in exchange for
my honest and unbiased review or not. There are many duplicates among these 859
cards and 4 of them were bent/bowed. After I took out all the cards that I
needed to fulfill spaces in my collector sets, I was left with 418 duplicates
from the llidan set and 321 duplicates from the Drums set for a total of 739
duplicates. This means that out of the 859 cards, I only used 120. While these
are not great ratios, I have purchased other card sets that had a bunch of
duplicates in them as well, so this is the risk that you take in trying to
complete a collector set. Besides the 4 bowed cards, all others were crisp,
clean, and in near mint/mint condition. I am grateful for the cards that I was
able to add to my collection, and also for the deck box - which is in great
condition as I do not have this particular box design. I do think that the
company could inform the customer as to which sets the cards are coming from so
that the customer can make an informed choice on whether to risk getting
duplicates, or if the number of cards needed outweighs that risk.
I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
